Introduction to Poetry with Jessica Traynor
Sat 9 Nov 2019
Time: 10.30am – 4.30pm
Duration: 1 Day
Cost: €80/€70 Members
This one-day course will allow participants to explore various approaches to writing poetry. You'll be finding inspiration in your surroundings, in memory, and in visual art. You'll also be discussing metaphor, rhythm, sound, and the shape of the poem on the page. For those who'd like feedback, the afternoon will be dedicated to looking at reworking and redrafting poetry, so participants should feel free to bring a poem of their own that they'd like to share with the group.
