Call for participants: WomenXBorders 2020 - International Women's Day Readathon
The Irish Writers Centre is delighted to collaborate with Women Aloud Northern Ireland once again in 2020 for WomenXBorders in celebration of International Women’s Day.
As part of this award winning event, this year taking place on Saturday 7 March 2020, we are again seeking women writers resident in the Republic of Ireland to take part in our literary readathon. Readers will each have 3 minutes to read their work. Applications should be submitted through this form.
The event will consist of panel discussions, day-long opportunities to hear extracts from Women Aloud NI members and the Irish Writers Centre as well as networking opportunities which will serve to cement the relationships between women writers across genres — and across Ireland.
Who is eligible to apply?
The Irish Writers Centre is taking applications from women writers resident in the Republic of Ireland. Writers in Northern Ireland should contact Women Aloud directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Writers at any stage of their career and writing in any language or genre are welcome to apply. We especially welcome applications from writers writing in Irish and writers from minority groups.
We use an inclusive definition of “woman” and “female” and we welcome trans women, genderqueer women, and non-binary people.
Where is the event taking place?
The Irish Writers Centre, 19 Parnell Square, Dublin 1.
Are travel expenses available?
