Whether you’re interested in prose, poetry, journaling or memoir, this beginners course with Jean O'Brien will explore the different writing genres through hands-on exercises, by reading the work of established writers and providing feedback on the participants’ own writing in an encouraging and friendly atmosphere. All of us have a story to tell and this course aims to unlock it. At the end of the eight weeks, students will have a store of helpful tools and tips for going forward on their own.

Praise from past students for Creative Writing with Jean O'Brien:
"Our teacher was a gem! [Jean] provides such a secure and encouraging, while also challenging, class that I feel I have really progressed under her tutoring... She has been such a nurturing guide during this beginning process."
"I was quite nervous about attending the course, but I was quickly put at ease. I have to say that this was due, in large part, to the teacher/lecturer who was particularly good and very encouraging."
"[Jean] is a very enthusiastic and encouraging teacher! This was my first stab at short story writing and she made it a lively and challenging experience!!"
