Spring 2016 - this course has now passed.
The allure of dystopian fiction is undeniable. Over five weeks this course will focus on the building blocks of genre storytelling: voice, character creation, plotting and world building. Participants will learn how these elements fit together to form a compelling experience for the reader. The practicalities of being a writer will be discussed such as how to get work into print, as well as looking at, among other things, agents, editors, submissions and self-publishing. There will be homework and personal feedback for those who want it.
