Exploring Storytelling through Comics and the Graphic Novel by Paddy Lynch

Comics today are an expanding medium that demonstrate an exciting and imaginative range of storytelling approaches. Through a series of hands-on workshops and discussions, led by Paddy Lynch, participants will produce a series of short comics that explore the inner workings of the form. Particular emphasis will be placed on exploring combinations of text and sequential images in such a way that is playful and open to all drawing abilities.
Paddy Lynch is an artist and graphic designer from Dublin. His comics have been published by the O'Brien Press (Ireland), Aperture Foundation (US), Kus (Latvia) and Things in Panels (UK). For more, see www.paddylynch.com.
