Autumn 2016 - this course has now passed.

This intensive fiction seminar will cover the fundamentals of plotting, narrative tension and creating compelling characters. You will learn how to create memorable stories: how to begin, how to structure, and how to permanently cure writer’s block as well as the art of editing. An award-winning novelist and lecturer in Creative Writing at the University of Manchester, M.J. Hyland has been shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize (2006), the BBC National Short Story Award (2011 & 2012) and the Hazlitt Essay Prize (2013). She publishes in the Guardian, Financial Times, London Review of Books, and more.

*This course was mistakenly advertised as €80/€70 in our print programme. However, as usual for our seminars (as opposed to a workshop), we lower the price.
