Spring 2016 - this course has now passed.
For a writer, there is nothing more terrifying then a blank page or an empty screen. Finding your Form will take you through the first steps from finding inspiration to polishing your drafts. Participants will explore the craft of writing, from structuring stories to character development to discovering their own sources of imagery. Poetry, short and long fiction and memoir will be examined and the course will consist of a combination of in-class tuition and exercises and peer critiquing of work-in-progress.
Nessa O’Mahony has published four volumes of poetry. She won the National Women’s Poetry Competition in 1997 and was shortlisted for the Patrick Kavanagh Prize and Hennessy Literature Awards. www.nessaomahony.com
