In the 24/7 world of instant communication, media saturation and decreasing concentration there has surprisingly been a remarkable comeback for the 'long read' or essay-style feature. This course breaks into two component parts in which students will be encouraged to both choose a topic that might be suitable as a memoir and a separate project that could make up an extended longer feature.
Henry McDonald is the author of the critically acclaimed NI Troubles-childhood memoir Colours. He will bring his 25+ years experience of non-fiction writing (including 7 books) and journalism to give industry and publishing advice.
