This two-hour online seminar will provide an overview of the editing process for writers who have completed at least one draft of a novel. The seminar will outline how to hone your own fiction writing, focusing on elements such as structure, character, narrative perspective, dialogue, scenes and plot. There will be a particular focus on reader engagement with your story and characters; how to get the most from your opening pages; editing a scene for maximum impact; using perspective to enrich character; dialogue that rings true; honing your prose; and catching errors, anomalies and clichés. There will be an opportunity to submit and ask questions at the end of the seminar.
