Course Summary:

In class, you will deep dive into close analytical readings, generative writing exercises and develop a deeper understanding of craft in workshop mode.  In this innovative course format, each participant will have an individual scheduled online Zoom chat with the course facilitator to discuss your written piece and discover ways to develop and sustain your writing practice. You will receive helpful, written feedback on your work also.

Course Outline:

This two-hour class will run in traditional writing workshop structure. Participants will submit 3-5 pages of their best work to the facilitator prior to the first class meeting. This workshop will be a warm and welcoming environment that's ready to get down to the business of writing. You are expected to arrive with a rough idea for a book length project or a series of longform narrative pieces that you intend to publish. You may even leave with lifelong creative partnerships. Feedback will come from classmates and from additional one-on-one critique with the workshop facilitator on alternate weeks.
