How to make the reader believe: new approaches for advanced writers
What makes a writer persuasive on the page? How do you bring the world and your characters to life? This course will focus on deepening your persuasion as writers. You will take a fresh look at fundamentals such as detail and description, and how to create more vivid characters. There will be creative exercises and an emphasis on close readings, with extracts from canonical writers to help you deepen your understanding of technique.
