Writing TV drama can be artistically and financially rewarding. Nowadays, most of the top screenwriters are writing for acclaimed international TV dramas like Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad and The Good Wife, as well as soaps like Eastenders, Fair City and Red Rock. This course will cover drama writing basics including structure, dialogue, dramatic premise, character building and creation, and scene breakdowns while providing guidance and expertise on how to find work in the industry.
Ferdia MacAnna is a novelist, screenwriter and TV producer/director. He has produced and directed many TV programmes including Don’t Feed the Gondolas, Upwardly Mobile and the BAFTA-winning Custer’s Last Stand Up.
