Supporting the Irish Writers Centre
Every year we support over 3,000 emerging and established writers through our Academy of creative writing courses, mentorships, competitions, development programmes and residencies. We are committed to opening access for writers from backgrounds currently underrepresented in Irish literature. We continually advocate for writers throughout the island of Ireland as they illuminate our lives with their ideas and words.
If you, or your organisation, would like to help foster the next generation of writing talent, below you’ll find a range of options for donation and several ways to contribute.
We are also launching the Irish Writers Centre Patrons Programme, an initiative dedicated to supporting our emerging writers. Further information will be available on this page soon.
In addition, if you would like to have a lasting impact on the future of Irish literature through leaving a legacy in your Will, we would be happy to guide you through the process. Please contact Mags McLoughlin, CEO, Irish Writers Centre: mags@irishwriterscentre.ie.
Individuals
With a donation of just €100 you could enable a writer to become a member of the Irish Writers Centre for a year, or benefit from a masterclass with an established facilitator.
Larger donations will help us fund creative writing course bursaries, mentorships, residencies and more.
Ultimately, your donation will help provide a platform for Ireland’s new and emerging voices.
Organisations
With a donation of just €500 you could enable a writer to attend a six-week creative writing course and benefit from a one-to-one mentoring session. Larger donations will help us fund ongoing development programmes, residencies, bursaries and more.
Donations from organisations are key to helping us support and grow Ireland’s vibrant literary community.
