Venue Hire
Our historic Georgian building is available for hire for filming, book launches and other events.
Our Venue
The Irish Writers Centre is an oasis of calm just yards from the bustle of Dublin’s central O’Connell Street. It is housed in a listed building which dates back to the 1760s and retains many of its original architectural features, making it an extraordinary setting for events and filming. We have previously hosted writers from Seamus Heaney and Paul Muldoon to Anne Enright and Sally Rooney.
When you step into the Irish Writers Centre, you’re stepping into history.
Parnell Square, where the building is located, is also steeped in history; formerly known as Rutland Square, the area recurs in the work of James Joyce, and in 1858 Charles Dickens read in the Rotunda Rooms just down the road! Further information on the surrounding area and building access can be found here.
