Booking Conditions
Courses require a minimum of six participants to run. In the event of a course being cancelled, participants will receive a full refund or have the option of course credit (valid for one year). Events at the Centre do not have a minimum number required to ensure they take place. The Irish Writers Centre aims to contact you a week in advance if a course is cancelled.
Please note that the course or event description is intended as a guide. The facilitator reserves the right to deviate somewhat from the description in order to best accommodate the needs of the participant and the dynamic of the group.
Please be advised that all participants must be over 18 to attend a course or event, online or at the Irish Writers Centre.

If the request is made due to illness, in advance of beginning the course, the participant will need to present a doctor’s note and will be given the option to transfer to another course or event at a later date.
On the day the course begins or beyond this point, we cannot provide refunds, credit or transfers, nor do we provide partial refunds if participants have missed classes for any reason.

If you have any questions with regards to our terms of booking, please call us on 01 8721302 or email the Centre at info@irishwriterscentre.ie.
Complaints Procedure
In the event that you are unhappy with any aspect of the course, please contact us immediately at info@irishwriterscentre.ie. The sooner we receive the complaint, the sooner we can respond to it. Complaints that come to us early will be dealt with on a case by case basis according to individual circumstances.
Complaints made at the end of the course: If the complaint is about the quality of the course, we will assess the complaint on the basis of all the feedback that is given to us by attendees – if the feedback is generally positive, then individual negative feedback will be considered in the context of the course description and whether the brief was more or less adhered to by the facilitator. Unless the facilitator deviated significantly from the course outline, then we will assume the course achieved its aim.
Our print programme and website offer a guide to the level of courses on offer. While we offer guidance, it is the participant’s responsibility to gauge the level or the relevance of the course to their needs, and if in any doubt, to contact us in advance of booking.
