Course Summary

This workshop introduces journaling as a practical and creative tool for reflection, planning, and building sustainable routines. Combining structured planning with expressive writing, it explores how simple journaling practices can support clarity, organisation, and creative thinking. Participants will be guided through prompts, layout ideas, and accessible techniques, including habit tracking, basic calligraphy, doodling, and visual decoration for planners. The focus is on developing a system that is both functional and visually engaging, encouraging consistency without pressure. No prior experience is required; the workshop is designed to be accessible, calm, and adaptable to individual styles.


Course Outline

This is a single-session workshop combining guided instruction with practical, hands-on exercises. Participants will be introduced to different approaches to journaling and planning, including daily, weekly, and monthly layouts, as well as formats such as reflective journaling, morning pages, and book journaling.

The session will cover:
● Structuring a journal or planner in a way that is both practical and sustainable
● Using prompts to support reflection and monthly planning
● Creating clear and effective layouts for daily, weekly, and monthly use
● Exploring simple decorative techniques, including stickers, doodles, text dividers, and visual
elements
● Improving handwriting and introducing basic calligraphy techniques
Participants will complete short guided exercises during the session, including setting up a monthly
plan and responding to prompts. They will leave with a foundation they can continue developing
independently.
