Course Summary
Join award-winning journalist Madeleine Keane on an exciting journey around the
rewarding world of travel writing.
Please note that this is an in-person course which will take place in the Irish Writers Centre building.
Course Outline
The technical aspects of the craft will be examined – from research and fact-checking to creating rich, vivid prose. Learn how to identify your market, how to pitch to editors, and how to repurpose your work. The day-long master class will also delve into the digital world of online media and blogging.

Madeleine Keane is Literary Editor of the Sunday Independent and has been writing about travel for 30 years. She also lectures on travel writing at UCD.
