Never has the power and potency of travel felt as important as right now. So many of us are reminiscing about past trips and dreaming of future ones. It’s an ideal time to combine your love of writing with your yearning to explore. Over the course of a one-day workshop, participants learn how to identify the story they most wish to tell, and to shape it into a series of absorbing anecdotes and insights that will charm, engage and excite readers. You’ll create short, potent pieces of writing for either personal memoir, travel journalism or literature – transforming the sights, sounds and soul of a journey into engaging prose.
Manchán Magan is a travel documentary-maker. He has written books on his travels in Africa, India and South America, and wrote the ‘Magan’s World’ travel column for the Irish Times. For the second time ever Manchán, is teaching his travel writing workshop online. His best-selling book Thirty-Two Words For Field sold 35,000 copies and has been in the best-seller list for most of 2021.
