Course Summary

Do you want to write a novel, are passionate about the story you have to tell, but aren’t sure if you have enough to proceed? In this six-week course, discover how to take even the smallest concept and expand it into a full-length novel.


Course Outline

This six week course will cover all the basics: character, voice, theme, location, plot, pacing, and dialogue, and will include optional short written exercises to be delivered weekly.


Course Outcomes

Participants will be given practical tools and an encouraging environment to help bring out the story within.


Alex Barclay has written thirteen novels in multiple genres – crime fiction, children’s fantasy, teen fiction, and YA crime. She is published by Harper Collins and Simon & Schuster. Her short stories have featured in a range of anthologies.
