Course Summary

Participants are invited to email an extract of their work in progress (1,000 words) and a brief paragraph outlining the story they wish to explore, prior to the start of the course.

Course Outline

Each week we will focus on different aspects of the novel…

Who’s story is it? – Point of view. Character. Voice.  Setting. Plot. Structure. Time. In particular, we will look at how much fact, how much fiction to include in your particular story. The course content will respond directly to Niamh’s reading of your submitted work, so will be tailored to the needs of the group. Each session will include writing exercises.

Course Outcomes

Each participant will develop a blueprint for going forward with their novel.
