Tá áthas ar Áras Scríbhneoirí na hÉireann a fhógairt go seolfar sraith nua FísDánta i gcomhar le REIC

Is tionscadal é FísDánta a chuireann an fhilíocht chomhaimseartha Ghaeilge chun cinn ar bhealach nua-aimseartha, ag tabhairt an traidisiúin ó bhéal isteach san aois dhigiteach. Beidh sé fhíseán á n-eisiúint idir seo agus deireadh na bliana, ina mbeidh filí comhaimseartha Gaeilge ag reic a gcuid saothar os comhair an cheamara. Le breis agus deich mbliana tá REIC ag tabhairt ardán d’fhilí éagsúla timpeall na tíre.

Is í Ciara Ní É, bunaitheoir REIC, a bheidh ag léiriú an togra agus is é Seán T. Ó Meallaigh a bheidh i mbun a stiúrtha.

I measc na bhfilí a ghlacfaidh páirt sa tsraith nua tá Eoin McEvoy, Sam Ó Fearraigh agus Séamus Barra Ó Súilleabháin, filí a bhfuil duaiseanna liteartha buaite acu agus a bhfuil a saothar foilsithe go náisiúnta agus go hidirnáisiúnta.

D’oibrigh Áras Scríbhneoirí na hÉireann le REIC cheana ar shraith FísDánta in 2018. Aimníodh an FísDán ‘Raithneach’, le Séamus Barra Ó Súilleabháin agus stiúrtha ag Ó Meallaigh, mar Fhíseán na Bliana ag Gradam Ceoil Nós.

The Irish Writers’ Centre is pleased to announce the launch of a new series of FísDánta in collaboration with REIC

FísDánta is a project that promotes contemporary Irish-language poetry in a modern way, bringing oral tradition into the digital age. This new series of six videos will be released between the end of July 2025 and the end of the year, featuring contemporary Irish-language poets performing their work in front of the camera. For over ten years, REIC has provided a platform for poets from across the country.

Ciara Ní É, the founder of REIC, will produce the project, with Seán T. Ó Meallaigh directing.

Among the poets taking part in the new series are Eoin McEvoy, Sam Ó Fearraigh, and Séamus Barra Ó Súilleabháin—award-winning poets whose work has been published both nationally and internationally.

The Irish Writers’ Centre previously worked with REIC on the FísDánta series in 2018. The FísDán Raithneach, with Séamus Barra Ó Súilleabháin and directed by Ó Meallaigh, was named Film of the Year at the Gradam Ceoil Nós awards.
