Irish Writers Centre presents:

Fallen Book Crawl as part of UNESCO’s One City, One Book

See 1916 Dublin come to life through dramatised excerpts of Fallen in various venues around the historic Parnell Square including the Irish Writers Centre and the Dublin Writers Museum.

Soak up the atmosphere of the era through re-enactments of Lia Mills‘s novel, depicting the life and times of Katie Crilly to the backdrop of 1916 Dublin. This live event will be directed and produced by Bairbre Ní Chaoimh and performed by Katie McCann, Rob Malone and Jamie O’Neill.

Please note there will be two performances on each night.

Attendees are advised that there will be quite a few stairs to climb throughout this event. Feel free to contact the Centre at events@writerscentre.ie if you have any questions about reduced mobility.

About the book:

Fallen is Mills’s third novel. Through the experiences of its central character Katie Crilly, the novel explores the challenges of living in a conflict situation. It vividly depicts the various and conflicting allegiances faced by Irish soldiers in the first World War and those supporting the cause of the rebellion.
