75th Anniversary Issue of Icarus
Co-editors Cat Grogan and Louise Norris invite you to celebrate the 75th Anniversary Issue of Icarus, the oldest continuously published arts journal in Britain and Ireland. Since its first publication in 1950, Icarus has been a cornerstone of Irish literature, publishing early works by writers such as Eavan Boland and Michael Longley. This special Anniversary Issue highlights the journal’s rich archival legacy while continuing to showcase the voices of current Trinity College students and celebrate contemporary Irish writers, including Paul Lynch and Kevin Barry. Free copies of the issue will be available at the launch.
Accessing our building
The Irish Writers Centre is currently housed in 19 Parnell Square, Dublin 1. This is a Georgian building which unfortunately does not have a lift. There are 5 steps into the entrance level. This event will take place in the Kiely Room which is on the first floor and requires climbing 30 steps in total. Please do inform us of any accessibility requirements you might have before the night so we can make any necessary arrangements.
If you have any questions about the event, please email info@irishwriterscentre.ie.
