Course Summary:

In this workshop you’ll learn about how to create content that promotes your work without being overbearing. Details about where to post, what platforms are good for finding opportunities, and how to be authentic and engaging online will be discussed. This course is for anyone who wants to get their work out there without being too self-promoting.

Course Outcomes:

In this workshop participants will learn how to make content that is engaging. The main rule of thumb is, ‘say something that is either entertaining of informative.’ Participants will learn the most effective ways to network, how to find writing opportunities, how to promote their work without being annoying, and how to engage with their audience on an authentic level.


Daragh Fleming is an author and blogger from Cork, Ireland. He runs the award-winning mental health blog Thoughts Too Big. He currently has two collections of short stories published by Riversong Books as well as work appearing in several literary magazines including The Ogham Stone and Époque Magazine. Fleming won the Cork Arts ‘From The Well’ Short Story Competition in 2021. His debut in nonfiction, Lonely Boy is due for release in November with BookHub Publishing. Daragh is also the Faberlull writer-in-residence for October 2022 in Olot, Spain.
