Course Content

Every picture tells a story and every story shows pictures. Some pictures can be enhanced by words. They explain, reinforce or challenge what the picture says. This workshop is about the combination of image and text and it is intended for people who work on comics or graphic novels or are interested in these media. We will explore how text can be used for and in pictures, what it can and what it can’t do, and how writing can be used to create characters, construct scenes and develop a storyboard.
