The Irish Writers Centre is the leading support and development organisation for writers since 1991. Carrying out its work on an all island basis, we provide many ways and means for writers to develop their skill, advance their ambitions and join a vibrant and diverse community of people who share their passion and purpose. Novel Fair

2024 marks 12 years of the Irish Writers Centre Novel Fair. Described by The Irish Times as a ‘Dragon’s Den for writers’, Novel Fair is our annual literary competition for aspiring novelists.

One-to-One Mentoring

The Irish Writers Centre has developed a panel of Professional Members who are published and experienced authors or industry professionals acting as mentors to help you make your writing as good as it can be.

National Mentoring Programme

The National Mentoring Programme is an opportunity for selected writers across the island of Ireland to receive sustained creative and professional mentoring from an acclaimed Irish writer of their choosing.
