Save the date! Join us for free workshops, tours of the building and lots of information on who we are and what we do! Here is just some of what we’ll have on offer:
- Free prose and poetry creative writing classes
- Professional Development Information Session
- Tours of the building
- Greenbean Novel Fair Information Session with former judge Anthony Glavin, Novel Fair winner Caitriona Lally and literary agent Jonathan Williams
- Join in with the Inkslingers and New Irish Communities, the open creative writing groups that meet on Saturdays at the Irish Writers Centre
- Free teas, coffees, cakes and biscuits!

11.00–13.00 New Irish Communities Open Writing Group
Get a taster of this open creative writing group for non-native English speakers who come together every second Saturday.
11.30–12.10 Poetry writing taster with Jean O’Brien
Email info@writerscentre.ie to sign up for this free class, ideal for people who want to get a taste for what happens in a creative writing workshop. Places will be held on a first-come-first-served basis.
12.15–12.45 Greenbean Novel Fair information session with Amy Herron of Irish Writers Centre, former judge Anthony Glavin, Novel Fair winner Caitriona Lally and literary agent Jonathan Williams
13.30–14.10 Prose writing taster with Mike McCormack – FULLY BOOKED
13.30–15.00 Inkslingers Open Writing Group
The Inkslingers welcome newcomers interested in what happens at a writing group.
14.15–14.45 Presentation on Professional Development with Valerie Bistany of Irish Writers Centre
Information session on the services and resources that the IWC can offer professional writers.
