Why put your feet up when you could join us for an evening of celebration this Nollaig na mBan.

The Irish Writers Centre and Skein Press would like to invite you to celebrate Women’s Christmas with us at EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum on Monday 6 January 2020.

Actor, writer and comedian Tara Flynn will be our MC of the evening. She’ll be joined by the extraordinarily talented Jagruti Rathod, Caelainn Hogan, Nidhi Zak/Aria Eipe, Sarah Davis-Goff, Fionnuala Kennedy, Ola Majekodunmi, Rosaleen McDonagh, Noelle Brown, Chiamaka Enyi-Amadi, Philomena Mullen, and Jessica Traynor. With music from the wonderful Farah Elle.

A member of the Freedom to Write campaign collective will read the work of an imprisoned writer,Chimengul Awut, representing the type of threats and attacks faced by writers and journalists around the world.

As in previous years, we’re encouraging those attending to take part in a New Year’s Kris Kindle extravaganza. Bring along a much-loved book by a female writer, wrap it and label or tag it with a description of no more than three lines. If you bring a book, you go home with one too!

* Ticket price includes a complimentary glass of wine and any profit will go towards the development of IWC programmes.

This is an Irish Writers Centre initiative supported by the Arts Council of Ireland and Dublin City Council in association with Skein Press and EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum.
