Day two (Thursday) costs €20 (€16). The only ticket offered for Days Three and Four is a combination ticket €35 (€20), covering all events on the evening of Friday 11th and all-day Saturday 12th.

We are very excited to be part of the University of Limerick Creative Writing Festival this April! Taking place across four days (Wed 9 April – Saturday 12 April), we are delighted to bring you two events scheduled for the final day of the festival.

 

We will be hosting An Island of Many Nations, a panel discussion with writers Afric McGlinchey, Cauvery Madhavan, Suad Aldarra and Tapasya Narang. We will also be hosting The Word on the Street, a performance showcase with Q&A with spoken word artists Cormac Mac Gearailt, Sheila Ryder, Lauren McNamara and Kev Kennedy. See you there!

Wednesday:

7:00pm – 8.00pm : Group reading by DONAL RYAN, JOSEPH O’CONNOR, SARAH MOORE, EMILY CULLEN and EOIN DEVEREUX.


Thursday:

7.30pm – 8.30pm: MARIAN KEYES and JOSEPH O’CONNOR.


Friday:

5.30pm to 6pm: KERRY NEVILLE in Conversation with EOIN DEVEREUX.

6.30 pm to 7.30 Booker Prize-winner PAUL LYNCH and SARAH GILMARTIN reading from their work.


Saturday:

11am – 12pm: An Island of many Nations: AFRIC McGLINCHEY, CAUVERY MADHAVAN, SUAD ALDARRA and MC’d by TAPASYA NARANG. With emerging writers in Ireland from various birthplaces and backgrounds, we celebrate our literary island of many nations. Presented by the Irish Writers Centre.

12.30pm to 1.30pm: Poets ANNEMARIE Ni CHURREAIN, NANDI JOLA  and CIARAN O’ROURKE presented by EMILY CULLEN.

2pm to 3pm: The Alumni Readings: UL Creative Writing MA graduates SHARON GUARD, NEIL TULLY, GRAINNE O’BRIEN, NOELLE LYNSKEY, JUNE O’SULLIVAN, and family of the late PATRICK KELLY, read from their debut published works, with Q-and-A on our Creative Writing MA and getting published.

3.30pm to 4.30pm: The Word on the Street: CORMAC MAC GEARAILT, winner of the international UNESCO City of Literature Slamovision 2024), SHEILA RYDER (winner of the Cúirt International festival), LAUREN MCNAMARA (two-time Munster slam champion), KEV KENNEDY (winner of 2024 Fingal Poetry Slam). From Electric Picnic to Kneecap, Spoken Word has moved into the spotlight. An exploration showcasing four performers, with Q&A. Presented by the Irish Writers Centre.

5pm to 6pm: Former Poetry Editor of The New Yorker, Pulitzer prizewinning poet, PAUL MULDOON in his first ever reading at UL Creative Writing.

6.30pm to 7.30pm: Closing event: International bestseller LIZ NUGENT.
