Course Summary:

Please note that class will not take place on Monday 30 October and the course will finish on Monday 6 November.

We all have self-sabotaging behaviours that hold us back and prevent us from reaching our potential as writers. Based on Shirzad Chamine’s PQ (Positive Intelligence) model, this informative, interactive and practical course will teach you the foundations of Positive Intelligence and how to harness your ‘Sage Powers’ to combat ‘Saboteurs’ that get in your way. And let’s face it, there is enough other stuff getting in our way!

Course Outline:

  • Week One – Introduction to Positive Intelligence & the three strategies to improve it
  • Week Two – Self-Assessment of the Ten Saboteurs and their impact on our writing life
  • Week Three –The Sage Perspective and Five Sage Powers
  • Week Four – Incorporating what we’ve learned into our writing practice

Participants are encouraged to keep a learning journal, and additional work will be done between classes. Slides are made available after each session.

Course Outcomes:

Participants will come away from this course with a practical understanding of the foundations of Positive Intelligence and how to employ it in their writing life.
