The Life Cycle of a Book is a series of short evening talks on the different aspects of the publishing process, aimed at both established and aspiring writers and all those interested in how books come to life behind the scenes. The idea is to break down the stages of publishing, from putting pen to page, right through to books coming to our attention through the media. There will be four talks in total, covering ‘The Writing Process’, ‘Getting Published’, ‘What Publishers Actually Do’ and ‘Reaching the Reader’. Each talk will include a panel of three experts, who will discuss their respective experiences with an audience Q&A to follow.
