Historical fiction encompasses good fiction and good history. During this one-day course we explore researching and writing the literal and emotional truths of Historical Fiction with: (i) characters that existed versus fictional characters (ii) historical situations versus created situations. We create strong plot lines and credible characters in settings with period details that capture the spirit, manners, and social conditions of the persons or time(s).
