Do you love radio? Do you love podcasts? Have you an idea for a piece of fiction or non-fiction that you think would make a great audio story? ‘Sound Stories’ is a one-day workshop that will give you the skills to get started.
Writing for a medium that uses sound only might, initially, seem limiting, the opposite is true, writing for radio can be completely liberating. In fact, it is said that no other medium offers the writer greater opportunity in terms of immediacy and intimacy with their audience.
In this once-off workshop, Susan Dennehy will take you through the process of developing an idea for radio, complete with characters, the world they inhabit and a strong narrative. You will be introduced to the storytelling and technical know-how that will enable you to craft a compelling audio story that has an impact on the listener.
