Short stories are notoriously difficult–so we are told–but committing to the process of a solid first draft over a number of weeks, isn’t backbreaking or mind boggling, it’s exhilarating and fun! All you have to do is bring along an idea for a short story, choose how you want to tell that story (and why), and spend the next six weeks writing the story with peer group support and tutor insights. At the end you will have a short story draft you are happy with. What do you need for this course? An open mind, willingness to write on a weekly basis, time to read others, and most of all: a love of short stories.
