Living by the River by Pierce Turner

Pierce Turner has always been recognised for his ability to tell a colourful story-during performance, and In 1994 he was voted “Ireland’s Solo Performer of The Year” at the Hot Press/Heineken awards. He has now honed those talents into writing a debut book of autobiographical short stories called Living by the River. Wednesday June 25th will be a rare opportunity to hear him reading from the book aloud for its Dublin launch.

“Pierce Turner’s first book of stories is a masterful symphony of emotion, making me laugh, and also bringing tears to my eyes. This smashing read showcases his remarkable talent as a storyteller. Proving that his creativity knows no limits. Warmly and with genuine admiration.” – Derek Reddin  A reader.

“Easily one of Ireland’s most important artists of the last 20 years”  Tony Clayton Lea, The Irish Times.
